George L. Carmouche, has worked in the Oil and Gas legal field for most of his 35 year career: handling multi-million dollar mineral issue cases, teaching Oil and Gas seminars to many of his colleagues in Louisiana, and serving as the Commissioner of Conservation for the State of Louisiana from 1996-1997. The SONRIS system, a complete on-line database of Louisiana mineral records, was developed under George L. Carmouche as Commissioner of Conservation, and has moved Oil and Gas production in Louisiana into the 21st century.
